The Blood Doctor

Alongside clinical practice, Dr Mannan has built a recognised medical education identity as the "Blood Doctor" — using social media and digital platforms to make haematology accessible to clinicians, trainees, and patients worldwide.

He mentors FRCPath and FCPS trainees, creates educational content for LinkedIn and Twitter, and has been acknowledged in a 2025 peer-reviewed publication exploring social media as an innovative teaching tool in haematology.

His educational philosophy is straightforward: complex haematology, explained simply, without losing clinical rigour. Over fifteen years of teaching across four countries backs that up.
